ALPINE SKILLS FOR SKIERS
Two Day Technical Skills Course
The Alpine Skills for Skiers Course is RBG’s signature instructional program designed to take your skiing and ski mountaineering technical skills to the next level.
This program is well suited to skiers with a solid foundation in mountain travel who are wanting to learn rope systems and mountaineering technique for direct application in ski touring and ski or splitboard mountaineering.
During our two day workshop, we will introduce and apply modern techniques used to safely manage scrambling and easy rock terrain as well as steep snow and glacier travel. Techniques learned will be well suited for ski alpinism or classic summer alpine mountaineering.
Lowering into a Couloir
Each skill and technique will be introduced and practiced in a classroom or ground school format before applying them in appropriate terrain with coaching and feedback from a ski centric IFMGA Mountain Guide.
