BEST OF REVELSTOKE AND ROGERS PASS
Three Day Handcrafted backcountry skiing trip
RBG’s three day Revelstoke based ski programs showcase the best terrain on earth with the support of a local team of experts to help maximize your time in the mountains.
Our difference is providing you the ability to remain flexible with the same guide team across a variety of venues allowing us to work with the current weather and avalanche conditions to deliver an exceptional experience in all conditions.
A Perfect Three Day Backcountry Skiing Trip
Each session will present it’s own weather and style. We embrace the challenge to deliver an exceptional experience in all conditions.
Day 1 Revelstoke Mountain Resort Backcountry: As the exclusive backcountry partner with Revelstoke Mountain Resort, we will get an early lift ahead of the general public to gain over 5000 ft of elevation and begin our day with an informative backcountry safety training. After training, we’ll venture out of the resort boundary and spend the day earning our turns with great options for alpine runs or tree-skiing for storm days.
Day 2 Rogers Pass Backcountry Touring: On day two our guides will select a tour built to showcase the best experience for the given conditions. We’ll pick you up at your lodging and drive East from Revelstoke (up to 45 minutes) and choose one of our favourite tours in Glacier National Park based on weather and snowpack conditions. We’ll spend the day exploring hidden unpublished stashes or classics including Avalanche Crest, Ursus Trees, 8812 Bowl, Video Peak, Dome Glacier, Young’s Peak, Grizzly Shoulder or the Sifton Traverse.
Day 3: Helicopter Assisted Ski Tours: Utilizing a short flight into the mountains in the morning, followed by a full day of ski touring in untracked and otherwise inaccessible terrain. After a final descent, we’ll request a helicopter pickup and flight back to Revelstoke.
Weather and conditions are ever changing. Our model is to take our guests where the best snow and terrain can be explored on any given day. By including lift tickets and transportation, we’re able to be maximize our options.
Our itineraries adapt to conditions and group ability levels. Having a variety of terrain to access (via Glacier National Park, RMR and Heli-touring) allows us to provide an optimal skiing experience.
We offer our open group three day best of Revelstoke trip Monday-Wednesday each week. Follow the link below to see the most up to date availability or contact us for information about each group. We work hard to see that our skiers and riders are matched well. After years of experience with private and open groups of skiers and climbers from all around the world, we feel confident that if they are willing to walk uphill for powder skiing, they’ll be great people.
Our focus is human powered skiing, but we’re intimately familiar with the heli, snowcat and lodge options in the region and how they integrate with our services. We regularly package heli, cat and BC lodge trips with our experiences.
Revelstoke and the surrounding Selkirks are a complex range with challenging terrain and logistics. Think of our team as your local connection. We are looking forward to helping you maximize your experience in Revelstoke on and off the snow.
Our guides happily accommodate novice backcountry travelers, however all of our trips involve significant uphill travel using skis and skins or a splitboard. We recommend that skiers have advanced downhill abilities and are capable of skiing most piste runs. Snowboarders should be expert level riders capable of anticipating changes in terrain.

We are available for guided skiing in the region from December to May. Below are some seasonal generalizations.
December- Mid January Days are short and typically filled with deep cold snow. Historically, Revelstoke is one of the best places for early season powder skiing with excellent coverage and regular storm skiing. Sunny days tend to be scarce. The mountains are typically less crowded and lodge space and local accommodations are more readily available.
Mid January-Early March Heart of the season with typically deep snowpack (2-4meters) and reliable powder skiing conditions with chances for better visibility. February is the high season with very limited last minute availability.
Mid March-Mid April Early spring conditions with equal chances at sunny alpine conditions with excellent snow or spring powder skiing. Generally rock climbing and mountain biking areas in Revelstoke become dry enough for multisport days.
Late April- May Spring ski mountaineering season with corn skiing and big overnight objectives. Mountains can be in excellent condition at the higher elevations. Tent based or traverse type programs are ideal at this time of year with many of our guides traveling to higher elevation zones or more Northern latitudes.
We know the local options and can help you plan other aspects of your trip. Think of us as your powder concierge.
