Two Day Technical Climbing Course
Our trad climbing course in Revelstoke refines technical systems for lead climbing and mult-pitch traditional and sport climbing. This two-day program is custom designed to develop your skills using modern techniques and tactics to maximize your climbing potential.
During our two day trad climbing workshop, we will introduce and apply technical rope systems used to safely manage multi-pitch traditional and bolt protected climbs.
Each skill and technique will be introduced and practiced in a classroom or ground school format, before applying them in applicable terrain with coaching and feedback from an IFMGA Mountain Guide at our guide developed climbing site at Echo Bay.Check Availability and Book Online

The Rock Skills and Techniques afternoon session will include instruction practice and coaching on technical skills for use in the high mountain environment. We’ll cover rock anchors and Rock Protection Systems, Top Belays and Guide Mode Devices, Belaying the Second in Caterpillar Style, Lowering and Rappelling, Belay station management, Instructor Demo 3 pitch Trad Climb, Multi-pitch rappelling
Field Location: Victor Lake Wall, Waterworld, Lauretta Slabs or Echo Wall. We’ll focus on application and instruction on a multi-pitch climb that will incorporate many of the new skills that were learned on day 1.
Our session will include a Multi-Pitch Instructor Demo/Shared Lead, Belaying Two Followers at Once (parallel rope technique), Advanced Rope and Station Management, Multi-pitch Cllmbs led by participants.

Our guides happily accommodate any level of hiker, climber or alpinist and will work directly with your group to create an appropriate experience. Please be sure to tell as as much as possible about your goals so that we can dial in the experience as accurately as possible.

We are available for guided mountain experiences in the region from June – October. Below are some seasonal generalizations.
May The valley is green and 100 percent snow free, rock climbing conditions in the valley are excellent with comfortable temperatures in the Sun or Shade. Alpine conditions are transitioning, typically ski season at all elevations has ended with unreliable overnight freeze-thaw conditions.
June Warm days interspersed with multi-day periods of rain. Valley rock climbing and hiking remain excellent with Alpine climbs beginning to transition.
July-August-September Prime alpine season with snow free trails at all elevations.
October-November Our winter snowpack builds rapidly at upper elevations, with consistently rainy conditions in the valley. An excellent time for a desert escape.

Waiver and Terms
Each guest will be required to sign a paper copy of our Release Agreement prior to participation.
Terms and Conditions
A deposit of 50% of the total trip cost is required to secure your reservation.
Full payment is due the earlier of December 1st or 60 days prior to trip start for Winter programs or 30 days prior for Summer programs.
Payments are non-refundable and we recommend that each guest purchases trip cancellation insurance from tugo or travelex. If there is a need to cancel or alter your current booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
